Great questions to ponder..

I read this article online today & it struck a chord.. Perhaps you can find 'productive' questions & answers in your own life; (because the mind does answer every question posed to it!)
Here's some 'food-for-thought'
~~~
Questions:
What do I want to accomplish today?
What is the most important thing I need to do today? (Do it first!)
Is this the best use of my time right now?
What am I trying to accomplish right now?
What can I cross off my list by deleting or delegating? What is not important?
What can I do right now to take the next leap instead of the next step?
Who can I learn from today?
Who can I thank today?
What am I grateful for?
How can I eliminate distractions right now?
What are my top 3 current goals?
What is most important to me in life?
If the world was going to end within one year, what would I be doing right now?
What will I do today towards my major goals?
What action can I take instead of worry right now?
Who should I thank today?
Who needs some love today?
How can I be a kinder person today?
How can I have more compassion today?
What can I do right now to release negative energy in a positive way?
What can I do to let go of my anger?
How can I put worry on hold right now?
How can I choose happiness right now?
What can I do to slow down today?
What am I learning right now?
What beneficial routines can I start today?
What will I do, see, explore, or experience today that is new?
How and with whom can I partner today to make 1+1=3?
How can I be more compassionate today?
What will I celebrate today?
Where did I find Joy today?
What did I learn today?
How will I “pay it forward” today?
How will I make today great? How do I define great?
What can I stop holding/clinging to help me break free?
How can I let go with peace?
Who can I help today?
How can I add Peace to the world today?
What’s the most powerful thing I can do right now, today to increase my business?
What have I been avoiding that I can do today?
Some other good questions for the end of the day:
Taking stock of what you did today.
Who did I help today?
Who did I hurt today?
If I could have done something differently what would it be?
Is there some way to make amends for the things I did today that I now regret?
If I had less than 5 1/2 years left to live, how would I want to spend my time on Earth?
wow.. I have some answering to do!
This & That
I think I'm becoming agoraphobic.. or maybe it's just laziness.. or I can make it sound better by saying I'm appreciating my hermitage experience here in Tellico. Yeah, that's the ticket..
I had the 'well made plans of mice & men', to go into the big city today to run some errands & get my nails done. The closer it came time to getting dressed, the more I self-talked about staying home & reading a book. To heck w/ the nails, I'll slap on some clear polish & call these nubs 'pretty'. It's just not worth driving the hr to get there.. & it's 100 degrees before noon, for god's sake.
The sun-drenched skies have made for some spectacular sunsets this past week. Brilliant red.. global warming/pollution does color it up!
The pond refurb is in full swing. Digging will commence sometime next week. And the guys in the above pic will be celebrating big time. I'll keep you posted.
Hurray for Dan who is going to be the new consultant for Saks Fifth Ave in Jackson, MS for the next 2 yrs! Only has to report once a wk per mo. Sweet..
(working from home for the remaining 3 wks)
I'm packing for a wk-end trip to Athens, Ohio to see the #1 son & family. Traveling mercies!
Y'all have a good day now, you hear?
I need to spend some quality time on the couch reading..
Could be coincidence... but then again..
Many will recall that on July 8, 1947, witnesses claimed that an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico.
This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and the rest of the U.S. government.
However, what you may NOT have realized is that in the month of March 1948, exactly nine months after that historic day, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfield, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Condolezza Rice, and Dan Quayle were all born.
See what happens when aliens breed with sheep?
and here's the latest from his visit w/ the French leader:
“The issue isn’t whether Americans want it,” Mr. Daalder said. “The issue is Bush doesn’t have the luxury of choosing his friends. There are not very many out there.”
Mr. Bush, for his part, was careful not to portray himself as too much of a Francophile.
“No I can’t,” the president said, asked by a journalist if he could say something in French. “I can barely speak English.”
And this today:
Dems Face Sharp Questions On Gay Rights
Frontrunners Challenged On Reluctance To Embrace Same-Sex Marriage
2008 Presidential HopefulsA glimpse at the Democrats and Republicans who have an eye on the White House.
(AP) Democratic presidential contenders sought to underscore their differences with Republicans on gay and lesbian rights, but leading candidates also faced sharp questions on their reluctance to embrace marriage for same-sex couples. In a forum Thursday night focusing on gay issues sponsored by a gay-rights organization and aired on a gay-oriented cable channel, Sen. Barack Obama argued that civil unions for same-sex couples wouldn't be a "lesser thing" than marriage. He disputed that his position on same-sex marriage made him a vestige of the past rather than an agent of change. Obama belongs to the United Church of Christ, which supports gay marriage, but Obama has yet to go that far. "If we have a situation in which civil unions are fully enforced, are widely recognized, people have civil rights under the law, then my sense is that's enormous progress," Obama said.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson said the nation was on "a path to full inclusion" but added, "In my judgment, what is achievable is civil unions with full marriage rights."
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton echoed support for civil unions. "I will be a president who will fight for you," she said.
Out of control Army
http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/58795/
More & more I am becoming disillusioned w/ the Army. I'm a past Army dependent, so I know many of the inner workings.. & so much of it would disgust you.
But today's 'all volunteer' soldiers are being led down a slippery slope.. one they may never recover from, when they become your neighbors out in the real world.
It's a sad state of affairs. How can Bushit sleep at night?
Daddy, will you write me an excuse??
http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/58573/
This is insanity.. getting 'permission' from a sexual partner for an abortion. And if you don't get it, you stay pregnant!
Patriarchy at it's worst.
My body, my decision, mister.
