My Heroine Cindy Sheehan

Up to the minute reporting by Truthout & some great video coverage. The woman just has such presence & poise.. I respect & honor her for what she's willing to stand for. Facing the 'dogs' of Rove-r, who is seeking any dirt on her he can find, up to & including a 'godmother' who had little contact w/ her son Casey.. but professes to love that dick-tater Bush! Cindy quietly displays the class & quality person she is. Not one in the White House can ever hope to have as much integrity as she evinces. I am in awe of this woman..

Please hold her in your thoughts & prayers.

Well, maybe Vice President under Hillary..
;o)

NPR did a piece on her as I was driving home yesterday. Many are disgusted with Sheehan's actions, stating that they sabotage "troop morale".

I'm not military, nor is my family, but I'd be willing to bet that seeing my friends shot or blown up fighting a war based on shoddy evidence would be the TRUE blow to morale.

Thanks for this one. She is already there. I can totally relate. They have stolen eighteen months of my young sons life!

Quite a few parents in the UK would like to ask Blair similar questions to those that Cindy would like to ask Bush. It's good to know that our glorious and courageous leaders can protect themselves so well - un like those they send out there.

My thoughts are with Cindy and all parents of soldiers, I have no idea what those people go through, but they have my admiration.

Hi. Hope the camp went well, and clearly you had good weather. Came across a couple of blogs taking the other view about Cindy. Their main arguement appears to centre around the fact that he was a volunteer, and therefore died doing his duty.

The simple truth is, as far as I'm concerned, Cindy's son died for a LIE which undermines any value to his death. His death was meaningless, and that is what Cindy appears to be angry about. Her son joined up to defend his Country, and in the end was sent on a "fools" errand to die inservice of Bush's and his secret cabal's wishes.

Why don't people see this?

Back in the 1st Gulf War, under King George I.. I sent my husband (now 'ex'.. & I guarantee you, the war did end it!) and I had 2 sons & a son-in-law involved in it. How much sacrifice does one person have to bear??
When people say, 'Aw.. you're just a liberal anti-war freak', they have no idea of the depths I have studied & probed into the reasons behind both of these senseless wars. I think my 'ex' hit it on the head when he said (back in the 1st fiasco).. 'I can't write letters back to little children who count me as a hero. I KNOW that I'm just here to keep someones SUV on the road. This is a war for oil.. nothing more, nothing less.'
Nothing has changed. King Geo II has added the element of Halliburton to the table, but that's it. Kids are still dying for the cost of a tank of gas.
God help us all.
