About Me
- Name: sandegaye
- Location: Tellico Plains, Tennessee, United States
I am a spiritual being having a physical experience. I love delving into the inner world & learning all I can about why I'm here & where I'm going. My mother, now transitioned to another plane, was a Cherokee shaman. She taught me the meaning of 'Namaste'.. meaning 'I recognize the God in you', and 'Nokomis'.. meaning 'Walk in Beauty', a Navajo term, that tells us to walk in balance with all of earth. My father, also transitioned, was a fun-loving Irishman who taught me the joy of risktaking, traveling, & living life to its fullest. I have hopefully taken the best of their offerings in forming the 'me' I am today. I am the mother of six, grandmother of five, stepmother of 2 more & step-gram for 6 more. My cup is full & running over..;o) My goal is to live 'juicy'!

Reason to skip this Knoxville duo..
Country star's bear-faced lie
Troy Gentry is one half of top country music duo Montgomery Gentry. He's built up an image as a hard-living hunting, shooting and fishing fan, but Troy turns out to be no Ted Nugent. Gentry has just appeared in court for killing a tame bear, Cubby. Apparently Gentry paid his friend Lee Greenly, who owns a wildlife refuge in Minnesota, $4,650 for the tame bear. Cubby was shot by Gentry with a bow and arrow while just standing in his pen. Gentry videotaped the slaying, and then doctored the tape to make it look he'd killed the bear in the wild, and then shipped the bear to a taxidermist so he could show off his "prize". Both men face up to five years in prison if convicted.

I found this sad..
I read this article & felt heavy-hearted for our teens so trying to please their 'men'.
~~~
Australia's most populous state plans to restrict cosmetic surgery on teens. Proposals: 1) You have to get a doctor's referral. 2) You have to get counseling. 3) You have to wait a month. 4) You have to get parental consent. Government's arguments: 1) Patients are too young: 13-year-olds are requesting surgery. 2) They're too numerous: Hundreds of thousands of teens are getting surgeries in the U.S. each year, including 50,000 nose jobs. 3) "Make-over mortgages" are helping girls pay for surgeries they couldn't otherwise afford. 4) Our sick Extreme Makeover TV culture is driving this. 5) We love girls for who they are, not how they look. 6) If you don't care about them, at least care about your health-care expenses, which are being inflated by their depression and eating disorders. Surgeons' reactions: 1) We would never do these procedures on teens. 2) Don't tell us we can't do these procedures on teens. 3) Who do you think brings the girl in for her breast implants? Her mom. Beachgoer's Testicles Freed From Chair
Mario Visnjic was returning from a nude dip in the sea at Croatia's naturist resort Valalta, when he managed to trap his testicles in the frame of the deckchair in which he sat.
Visnjic managed to contact maintenance workers at the resort on his cell phone, who had to end up cutting his chair in half in order to free him.
Today on MSNBC, retired General John Batiste -- former commander of the First Infantry division in Iraq -- said that it was "outrageous" Rumsfeld was still in charge of the Pentagon. Batiste added, "He served up our great military a huge bowl of chicken feces, and ever since then, our military and our country have been trying to turn this bowl into chicken salad."
Freaky Friday
Our favorite Tranny.. Excitement for this morning was Buddy's attempted escape into them thar hills. Which led to Dan's version of 'cat herding', then cat-wrangling as he carried him back into the house, hissing & spitting. Now we're forced to listen to Buddy's caterwalling to get back outside. Sounds like a siamese in heat.. not pretty. Much like Ann Coulter.
When good love goes bad..
Daily Mail August 20, 2006 at 04:14 PM
The alliance between George Bush and Tony Blair is in danger after it was revealed that the Prime Minister believes the President has 'let him down badly' over the Middle East crisis.
A senior Downing Street source said that, privately, Mr Blair broadly agrees with John Prescott, who said Mr Bush's record on the issue was 'crap'.
Can you imagine?
Can you imagine what this could have purchased, rather than being wasted on a senseless war?
How many needy children could've been fed, clothed & housed?
How many elderly could've had their medications paid for?
How you & I could've had free healthcare?
But instead we see the oil companies grow richer each day.. the world's opinions of us spiraling downward.. our personal freedoms & rights being flushed down the tubes.. a tyrant still claiming to 'lead' this country.. and our sons & daughters coming home in shattered pieces, emotionally and physically forever scarred.. or else not coming home at all, sacrificed for a dictator to be able to say, 'See, Mommy.. I did what daddy couldn't do. I got Saddam.'
The price we pay is in soooo much more than billions of dollars & cents.
As most of you know, I am a registered nurse (currently on hiatus) but nonetheless, I bear the label of a healthcare provider.
And I have to say, one thing I miss about the work-a-day world of nursing are the scrubs!
It became quite a 'contest of fashion' in my last workplace. Everybody wanted the latest styles, etc. And we were allowed $150 of 'credit' off our paychecks.. so whooppee! It was like going crazy w/ a credit card.
Scrubs allowed the nurses to express more of their own personalities, getting away from that 'ultra white' world of Florence Nightingale. I particularly loved my scrubs w/ cats all over them.
Very cool..
There's something to be said for a woman in uniform.. ;o)
Here we go w/ the Fear Factor yet again..
The GOP will pull out all stops now.. thinking this foiled plot allows them all freedoms in violating every human & civil right ever known to man. When will we stop 'running scared' & allowing this crapola to happen??
It's almost like all the recent revelations of 'truths' have been wiped aside & we need Daddy Dubyah to take care of us now. The man is a moron, folks!
All this whole episode tells us is that British Intel is 500% better than ours.
And more..
With America under "imminent attack," Bush stays on vacation and holds a BBQ at his ranch for rich Republican donors
Nice. Not like there's anything else to worry about, like the first Red Alert we've ever had since September 11. The man will never learn from his mistakes, and the Republican party will never challenege him. Until the Republicans are thrown out of office, we are in serious danger with an incompetent commander in chief at the helm.
Behind the administration's evils..
When you have some time.. view the 6 segments here (about 15 min each)
Jaw dropping info!
This should be seen in all schools, & on mainline TV stations. I'm sure it didn't get many viewers on PBS.. because it takes a thinking person to watch that channel.
What can I say, I missed it there as well.. oops.
Cheney: Lieberman Loss "Disturbing" Because al Qaeda Is "Betting They Can Break The Will of The American People"...
Think Progress August 10, 2006 at 10:37 AM
As the Mideast sits on the brink of regional war, Vice President Dick Cheney spent his time yesterday holding a teleconference to discuss the outcome of the Democratic Senate primary in Connecticut.
Cheney said that to "purge a man like Joe Lieberman" was "of concern, especially over the issue of Joe's support with respect to national efforts in the global war on terror." He explained:
Reuters August 7, 2006
A German scientist has been testing an "anti-stupidity" pill with encouraging results on mice and fruit flies, Bild newspaper reported Saturday.
I like what one fellow said.. 'he'll wake up from his drunk, but he'll always be an anti-Semite".
Some things he just won't be able to hide (& thank goodness for police tapings!)
